The 2023 tax season dates are as follows:
End year tax returns: All taxpayers return submissions opened on the 7th of July 2023.
Taxpayers whose tax returns have little complexity to them will have received an Auto assessment - if you have please read our post on auto assessments.
Although we always follow the "first in - first out" method when it comes to the submissions of the tax returns, we ask that you please send us the information required for your return as soon as you have gathered all the required documents so that we can prepare the computations.
The deadline for filing a tax return for non-provisional taxpayers is 23 October 2023.
Filing season for Provisional taxpayers (including Trusts) ends on 24 January 2024.

SARS WILL penalise a late submission!
Penalties are severe and the system will start applying these penalties the moment your submission passes the deadline date.
